Charlotte Chen Pienaar, Founder & Principal of Capera Advisory, studied Economics at New York University before building a career across finance (KPMG, Macquarie Capital) and technology (500 Startups alumna). She went on to found and scale her own consumer brand as CEO. She's sat in her clients' seat — as a founder-operator hitting the same bottlenecks — not just advising from the outside.

Consumer Brand (Scaled to 7 Figures)
Founded and scaled a US beauty brand from $0 to seven figures across wholesale and DTC, building an operating system to orchestrate a 100% remote team across 7 departments — product development, supply chain, design, sales, brand marketing, performance marketing, and finance — running a lean team, with output like a headcount twice its size.
Facility Rebuild & Team Buildout
Rescued a project from crisis to fully operating in 12 weeks — resetting direction with OKRs, managing the physical rebuild through one project management system, and standing up every back-end department (HR, finance, legal, ops) with AI, then defining SOPs and workflows to automate day-to-day operations and building board-level BI, now run daily by a full in-house team.
Founder-Led Business
Built a custom operating layer for a founder-led business spanning B2B and B2C across six departments — fixing information silos that had built up across the team, giving the founder clarity to make decisions across both units, and designing new workflows and a knowledge base built to scale with AI, without adding new hires.
Multi-Location Business
Interviewed stakeholders across the business to find where workflows were breaking down, redesigned them for efficiency and automation, and built a live command center — BI dashboards by department turning scattered sales, inventory, POS, opex, and labor data into real-time decisions.
